men wrote it, inspired by God. how? that is very interesting though it should not be very confusing because us simple humans are able to transmit data of all sorts without wires from different points on the globe. that data is almost instantly ready for humans to comprehend. perhaps God did something infinitely superior to that with humans. however, God would have to be the author.
much like a secretary takes dictation from the boss, men wrote what God told them.

also, it is very true what some people have already said; there have been many changes to the bible to suit other peoples' needs, though I'm sure you could find one that has been very very close to a true translation from original text.
(yes, none of the originals exist as they had disappeared through time)
and yes, i do believe everything in the bible, though some things are a bit hard to understand, i still continue with my study.

Lots of different people wrote the Bible. The Bible is a collection of books, songs, poetry, letters. It is not mean to be read like a text book or science book. It is true in that it contains universal truths about life, God, and people's experience of faith. But if you read it and say "Adam and Eve really happened," you immediately run into trouble.

The bible is a book of mythology that was "written" over hundreds of years by many different people.

The "bible" that Christians use was invented by Roman Emperor Constantine in 325 CE (ad) and prior to 325 CE, there was no bible.

The bile - oops, bible - is an edited compilation of fables, both from Palestine and elsewhere, combined into a single book.

It is no more coherent a narrative than the fables of the Greek pantheon. It is also no more factual than the fables of the Greek pantheon.

Who compiled and rewrote verses to suit their political ambitions? The catholic crutch - oops, church - compiled it about 600 years after the alleged event it purports.

"It's fair to say that the Bible contains equal parts of fact, history, and pizza."
