I think your internal organs (liver) malfunction and ..for lack of a better word.."eat" themselves. You also have an inability to gain weight properly and will eventually end up dying.

I've never heard of this disease where your organs eat themselves. There are many diseases where internal organs malfunction for various reasons. Inability to gain weight, and dying are typical after your organs fail.
