When I was 17 I decided to take off on April 1st hitchhiking across country from Wisconsin to California and back on semi-trucks with my cousin. I didn't go to my graduation in June, but I have always regretted that decision. I graduated and got my diploma, but looking back, I surely would have gone to my graduation ceremony. At the time, it didn't mean much to me. Years later, I have dreams of getting ready for that day and not being able to get there in time. I hope you go so you don't have any regrets later on. Good Luck!...)(

Why not? You only graduate once and it will add another memory of your life that you can look back and reflect on when you get older. Don't be in such a hurry to grow up that you miss out on the unique things that life holds for you in the present.

i was not allowed to go to my graduation. i live in NYS and in order to graduate you have to pass regents exams in every subject. i failed 1 of the tests and could not attend my graduation. 1 week after my graduation the state decided to omit the test so i ended up receiving a diploma anyway, but I was so pissed that i could not attend the ceremony. So my advice is to go, you may regret it!
