the reason I am asking this question is because I want him to see that what I tell him is the truth, he thinks that I am so mean, and the only parent to take things away..I just want him to see that others know where I am coming from..its not just me being mean

Parents aren't being mean, just teaching their child a lesson and the facts of life. Many things parents do are for their children's health and help. I mean you have to teach discipline one way or the other right.

If your son has to ask that question, there must be a problem with his respect for you as his parent, or a problem with your communication skills with him.

You didn't explain why you were taking things away from him, so I'm guessing the problem is with your skills to communicate ... learn to communicate better with him and he may give you more respect. (Keeps everybody happy, ya know?)
