In Switzerland, there are 4 national languages: German, French, Italian, and Romansch.

However, there are only 3 official languages: German, French, and Italian.

In the parliament you're required to speak in one of the 3 official languages, and be able to understand another official language.

The official languages are English, German, French and Italian, but in my experience German is most widely spoken. But it depends on what part of Switzerland you are in.
