You've said RSPCA so I guess you're in England.
Urban foxes have been with us for years. There are thousands of them! They do a great job of cleaning up food waste.
Foxes are shy creatures. They won't attack you. We don't have rabies in this country.
They are no threat to cats, but rabbits should be in a secure hutch at night .
If the fox is lively and healthy with a full coat then he is fine. If he has bald patches then he has mange; call the RSPCA.

You can feed your foxes on eggs, scraps or dog food. Dog food is best because hedgehogs can also eat it. In hot or freezing weather leave out a dish of fresh water.

Actually, the worst thing you can do is feed them. When you feed wild animals they "forget" how to fend for themselves.

If the fox is becoming a pest, contact RSPCA or whatever your animal control is the UK (I tried finding the correct office through google & yahoo and was unsuccessful). Much of the time, rural animals that wander into urban areas do so because they are ill and so your fox may be in need of veterinary care.

The rspca will definitely not be interested nor will the police. If they are not causing a problem leave them alone.

For the sake of these poor animals feed them!!!
I lived in Burbank for years, The valley part of Los Angeles. We had raccoons in the trees of my apartment building. I would always leave them food and water. Its not dangerous if you just leave it there!

Shoot it or call animal control, giving it food, shelter or water will be detrimental to it's survival, as it will continue to come into cities.

Leave it alone, it is a wild animal and quite able to look after itself.
Just enjoy it!

Blame the government for banning hunting. City folks might just see what'll happen when they get out of hand

Tally ho.
