If you can't afford it with cash and you'd limit out your credit card, I'd suggest waiting until next summer.

Plan ahead by saving a little every month. First, budget out the cost of the trip and add 5% - 10% for a contingency.

Figure out how much you'll have to save to get there, then save up!

Search online for good plane/room deals. Hotwire is a great way to go!

This year we are taking a trip for 4 to Southern California for around $1,400 for rooms and entertainment - Westin & Sheraton for hotels (7 nights, $600 from www.hotwire.com) - Seaworld, Disneyland, San Diego Zoo and Universal Studios for entertainment $200 per person (www.citypass.com).

Plan ahead.
Save.
Shop for deals.
Go next year.
Don't max out your credit cards.
Don't borrow from friends or family.

It will be much more fun, if you don't have debt to regret!

Borrow the money, take the vacation.
I've always waited to have enough money to take a vacation and, guess what, 10 years have come and gone since I took more than a long weekend. I'm 50 now.

Call your ccard company and ask for a credit limit increase. If your payments have been made on time they should increase your limit by $1000.00 or more. This should be enough to get your vacation.!

Save and take the trip later. It won't be any fun if you are worried about money the whole time! Also, if you go in Spring, the weather is still great and you'll get cheaper rates!
