The fact that she puts herself down can mean that she has a low self esteem, and the fact that she is confiding in you means that she is expecting you to build her up with praises and pats onthe back.

Sometimes, us ladies do this to get indirect attention, We dont feel comfortable telling a guy, "I like you" but we give subtle hints so that he can make a move.

4-exchange numbers and call her one night to say good night and sing to her.
5-send flowers
6-write a poem and read it to her
7-offer her to be a leaning shoulder and then tell her youd love to know how you can help, then explain the way you feel about her.

There are many things that you can do really, but always prepare for the worse, just oin case. Also, have a back up plan in case she rejects you, maybe you can say something like, "well I was kind of expeting that you'd say that, but I wanted to give this a chance anyway, well thanks but I have to go."
