This great guy I've known for maybe a year or more has decided he is attracted to me, but is afraid to open up because of what happened with his ex. I told him I wouldn't rush him into anything (like a relationship) but that I still care for him.
Tonight I sent him a text because he's been on my mind all day, which said just that. He hasn't responded and my heart is starting to hurt. It's possible he's avoiding me. Should I give up on him?

Don't ever let anyone control your mind like this. He might just be busy. Let him chase you. Don't call or text him until he calls or texts you. Date other people. If he wants you he knows where to find you and how to make it known. Let him work for you! You're a queen aren't you?

The ball is in his court now. Leave him alone. He may or may not have read your text. If he did and doesn't respond - there's your answer. Not the one you want but it's an answer. If he didn't get your text and then doesn't hear from you and he checks in to see where you've been, maybe there's a chance. If I were you though I would try to focus on something else instead of trying to see if this guy is going to come around. It doesn't mean you have to focus on another guy. Why not focus on something you've been wanting to do for yourself? Like workout or take a class or doing whatever piques your interest.

Just wait it out. I'm sure that maybe his phone died or something, or maybe he just cant text you back at this time. It was sweet of you to let him know that you were thinking about him, but you cant expect an answer right away. Maybe there was some issue with his ex involving that so he just got freaked when you said that. Dont worry about it though. With loving support, everything will be fine.

WELL YOU SHOULD JUST WAIT IT OUT BECAUSE HE MIGHT NOT BE READY TO START A NEW RELATIONSHIP BECAUSE OF WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN HIM AND HIS EX. YOU SHOULD JUST CONTINUE BEING HIS FRIEND BECAUSE NOW THAT IS WHAT HE REALLY NEEDS. HE HAS ALREADY EXPRESSED HIS FEELINGS TO YOU SO JUST LET HIM KNOW THAT YOU ARE THERE FOR HIM AND THE TWO OF YOU WILL HAVE A WONDERFUL RELATIONSHIP BEFORE YOU EVEN KNOW IT. if it has been an year or more that he has broke up with his wife and he like u but don't say anything then u should leave him or take some time apart from each other or u should let him know that u are felling him if he does not know i know what Alice keys said but some times u have to go out for what u want !!!!!

That sucks girl!! Maybe he doesnt know how to react. Give him some time and if he is attracted to you he will text back. Be careful not to text to much cuz it will push him away or maybe scare him.

just wait, don't rush his aching and tormented heart to fall fast. give him time to recuperate (as some would put it).
and as for you, can't you wait further...just a little more. and yeah, sending him text messages would help him divert his attention to you. keep doing that and someday he would respond to your call. not messages of your undying love for him, but messages of care. whatever his response would be, keep an open mind.

He may not have credit on his phone. Don't jump to conclusions. Maybe in future you should call instead of sending a text cause they are quite often misinterpreted

Its only been a day he needs time to think. Im sure he will get around to sending one soon. Just give him time and if he really likes you then he will most definatly send one back.
