There is a saying: "Hurt people hurt people" I guess if you've hurt their feelings, they want to make you see how it feels.

It's human nature. Eventually people outgrow the revenge idea though. It could all be avoided if you stopped to think about what you're saying before you say it. Consider if it will hurt them and if it's a possibility, just don't say it.

No, the sentence you've shown is not a negative phrase...it's probably just the truth but people have a way of pulling out the down side and forgetting about the good one. Keep the positive words and let the others fall away for now. People are very sensitive of any kind of personal criticism because we're all unsure of ourselves.

1: Because men are stupid. God gave them a brain and a penis but only enough blood to run one.

2: No, there is nothing wrong with what you said. Everyone makes people close to them happy and sad. It is the fact that you can have a wide range of emotions with him that means that your relationship is healthy. If you were dating for any longer than a month and he never made you feel sad in any way, there would be something wrong. When you love someone, seeing them do something that would normally not change your mood a bit can make you extremely depressed. Being sad is a good sign, as long as its at least pretty rare.

My man hes never done this kind of thing to me. And I think that phrase is not negative or non negative. I think it is expressing the way he feels.

Maybe you hurt his pride and he needs to put you down like you did to him. Be careful what you say around others.
