Why is there more negatives comments towards overweight women compare to overweight men?

Just wonder why on tv we see big guys with normal women. I wouldn't find anything wrong with seeing a big women with a normal size men. I just get tried of always hearing women say there to big or they have to lose weight. I think big is beutiful also.

it just seems to be society and instinct i guess. bigger men can be seen as strong and virile, bigger women are seen as lazy and unfit... i dont get it either but its the way of our world at the moment in many places. it used to be acceptable for women to be bigger and curvier - just look at old paintings! lots of those women had big thighs and flabby tummies - i believe it was associated with childbirth and being more of a woman after you have given birth. now people in many countries seem to want to see very very thin women with tiny waists. but its not the same everywhere, many cultures still see a larger woman as being more attractive.

ps ive often wondered why i cant create a larger frame for my yahoo avatar that more reflects what i actually look like? just another symptom of the way society portrays people. i believe that it used to have a larger frame for the male avatars did it not? not sure if its still there but i thought i saw one with a chubby belly.. but didnt see bigger ones for the gals... thats just something i wondered about ;)

Because, society leads us to believe that all women are supposed to look like super models when in reality not all women do.

men look ok when they are overweight but women look like ewwwww! but i will say that on that King of queens show there is no way that kevin james would get a wife like that.

i hate skinny women. paris hilton? think ill pass for a women that actually has curves. i dont want to hug a women and feel what she had for dinner. i want her to be warm and soft.
