Give you a difficult time that you may truly earn the right. They may try to take you away from your belief or make it difficult, but when you make it through it makes you more sound and strong in your faith.

Works both ways?
"I know as a believer, we are suppose to go out and teach God work and word"
There ya go. You have just shown how believers go around trying to convert nonbelievers. While many do this in a considerate and thoughtful way, there are too many that don't. That is the bigger problem, seems to me. Not the other way around.

Do you really believe that non-believers are meddling with believers just to be mean? Isn't it possible that they, like school children, are really possibly baiting believers so that believers will be goaded to share their belief. It is a juvenile thing, but how often have you acted in such a way when you wanted something.
Do believers have to approach non-believers and try to win them over? Not unless they are prepared for this mission and armed to do battle against the evil one by donning the full Armour of God. Everyone is not called to convert non-believers, but they can live lives as examples for them.
These are my own beliefs about both groups. One is hungry to receive, but the other must be prepared to give.

I hope God never removes the non-believing from my ability to be of a witness lest my Christianity become a religion and not a relationship with Jesus Christ in which he instructed me to go into all the world teaching the gospel. This doesn't mean I have to thump every person I come in contact with across the head with my Bible, and I don't, because I believe God sends exactly to my time online, since I'm homebound, who he wants me to respond too.

If you walk down the street and men proposition you for sex and grab your buttocks every step of the way, you shouldn't be the least bit bothered, right? No?
You think it's perfectly acceptable to proposition people with religion even when they don't want it, so why would you be a hypocrite by being annoyed when someone asks you to spread your legs?
Non-believers asking to be left alone is not harassment of you. Get over yourself and your hypochristian behaviour.

A non-believer doesn't HAVE to do anything. But think about it. They believe there is no god. So that view every moment Christians spend yapping about God, praying and going to church as a monumental waste of time. By challenging the beliefs of Christians, perhaps they are hoping to get them to see the light, and put their time to better use.
Besides, the religious right is so busy trying to pass laws to FORCE everyone to act in ways that coincide with their beliefs, that they give those who feel differently no choice but to speak up.
Besides, if your ideas have merit. You should welcome a debate on them....

You seem to have it backwards, atheists are the most persecuted group thoughout all of history.
Vice President George Bush (bozo's daddy), in 1987, stated that atheists are traitors and should not be allowed citizenship.
When are Christians going to demand these hate mongers (Bush & his bozo) stop using their religion as a platform to spread hatred?
Additional commet:
I was a practicing Christian for over 30 years and am not "hungry for the word." Most atheists I know used to be Christians and know far more about the bible and religion than people who attempt to "spread the word."
The best way to become an atheist is to read the bible.

Why don't the believers stop knocking on my door and asking me to convert. Why do the believers tell me I'm going to hell and they can't be around me. And why do the believers try to make laws that I have to follow based on THEIR faith. It goes both ways dude. Except I'll never have a marathon on TV trying to get you to donate money to not belive in god.

Your right it goes both ways. As a believer your suppose to go out and shove your beliefs down someone else's throat, whether they want to hear it or not. In turn non-believers shove their beliefs down your throat and you don't want to hear it. With that said maybe people should just mind their own business.

We as believers must pray for both. Some of the believers or non believers are or are not seriously trying to convert or searching for the truth.

Yes, it DOES work both ways.
I will be speaking for myself only. I don't know about the other non-theists, so they will have speak for themselves. For myself, I just live my life the best I see fit. I don't go bothering people about how wrong they are for being a theist. I do have very strong opinions on the matter, but I don't "preach", cuz I don't like it being done to me.
