Has anyone heard of large blisters that itch mostly on my torso, but a few on upper leg alson..and when you scratch it is so painful. Then they start to dry up, while they are very heated. Finally dry up & go away but leave a scar. I went to dermotologist...They have never seen anything like it.

The Dr. said it wasn't shingles. When you had shingles, were they 8 inches by 8 inchec in places?

Shilges are painful before they break out, they nvever pass over the mid-line of the body. Sounds like pemphigous to me

The first thing I thought of was shingles..I would get a second opinion about this...I would be concerned...I am a little perplexed that the doctor didn't get more involved in trying to find out what it is or at least refer to someone else...it sounds really uncomfortable.

sounds like follicultis, but hard to know without seeing them. small ingrown hairs that "confuse" the skin into mild/moderate inflamatory reaction.

yeah, need a new dermatologist, or good family doc.

if you go to a family doc, get an old one, no joke. Over 50 for sure, 60 even.

my experience, the old generalists are SO much better than the new ones.

Is it possible that you have shingles? I have had shingles and you are describing it pretty well. I would see an internist - or go to your local urgent care center. Good luck!

Definitely get a second opinion. This sounds serious.

See another dermatologist is my advice. Some are better than others.
