for the love of god, DON'T!!the best way to keep it from getting infected is to get it done profesionally, and to keep it clean after the fact.though, if you have sensitive skin, or have any other piercings that easily get infected, it might be best not to do it b/c it takes forever to heal. I got my nose peirced and it was supposed to take 6 months, tops to heal but it took almost a year instead. and even now I haven't worn a ring b/c it's so hard to get it in, for me anyway.other people have had no problems, though, but you must get it done proffesionally. since my answer will probably dissapoint you, the other advice I can give you is if you do get it peirced, keep it clean by mixing in a shotglass a pinch of sea salt and water, dip in a cottonball and put in over your peircing for a few minutes a couple times a day.

Don't do it, let a professional do it for you, the peircing has to go in a certain way.
