It's due to the condition of it's sinuses. Many small bread dogs with short faces snort because it's just how they are made. The shorter sinus cavity is largely to blame. It's not likely a health problem, but they can get short of breath at times.

Well,
my aunts cocker spaniel burps. And we have not figured that out yet. maybe bottaly functions are what cocker spaniel's do best!

I agree with wild man but it could be coming from his throat also and still sound like it is from his nose if it is from his throat it might be a clapsing trachea (throat)do u smoke around her?check her collar sometimes it will agitate it or could be asthma u really should have it checked out good luck.

Well, maybe it is sneezing (having a cold or allergic to sumthin' in yer hse)... don't all dogs do that???? My uncle's dog does... You might want to be careful, take him/her to a vet for a checkup. Thats me advice...
