I have been fighting for my disability fior 10 yrs since i've been diagnosed with CFS & Fibromyalgia. At the time, I was 24. many have told me that it was hard to get because at the time it was new to the medical world and I was so young. 10 yrs later I'm still having a hard time getting it. What should I do? It's not like I've gotten any better.

I'm not sure whether in what Country you live, but, I will try to help in a general way. In Ontario, we have the Ontario Disability Support Program or Canada Pension. My understand is that it appears that if you get your family Physician together with a specialist to sign their forms, you have a much better change of obtaining support. I'm so sorry you have Fibromyalgia as it is usually very frustrating to prove. At least today, there is a better understanding. My heart goes out to you as I know it is very painful and exhausting. Hope my suggestion with two Drs., works out for you where ever you live. If you need to contact me direct with further questions, please feel free to do so. It seems like the people who know how to B.S. the system go on their merry way and the legit people don't know which way to turn. Best of Luck, Dianne

Get a good disability lawyer since you've already been denied. And get you medical records to support the claim. Where I live it does take a year or so to get disability because of beaurocracy, but a friend of mine is on for Fibromyalgia.

if you want to get better, go to a chiropractor. They have had large success with that condition. Instead of worrying about compensation try to worry about the proper treatment for the condition. Google fibromyalgia and Chiropractic and you'll be surprised on what you come up with
