I would not bother ignoring her, unless you are twelve years old and rude.
It's OK to say "Goodbye."
or "No, but thanks anyway."
At least have the manners to tell her. She might wonder if you are seriously ill, or in hospital, & you don't deserve that consideration!
I bet her friends are putting up with her worries about you right now. You think they are going to tell her she's wrong? They probably care for her, why should they do your dirty work for you?
There is a high probability that she is a real person, and female.
Make up a smart excuse like "My girlfriend/wife/lover has asked me to stop chatting to other women online - sorry, 'bye!"
Then stop reading her email & move it to the trash. Mark it as spam if you like.
I cannot understand why people think it's OK to cut someone off and brag that "They'll get the message!" when they have not had the courtesy to send one.
Even a lame excuse, or a harsh reply is far better than letting
someone think that you might want to keep your options open.
They might not understand that the novelty has worn off. So what if she gets angry at you? Better angry than hurt, right?!?
It's not OK to run away. Have the guts to say "Byeee!!!"
OK, if she is really persistent or obsessive, and won't take No for an answer, change your online account; delete old one, set up new one, change your avatar.
But if you upset this real person, imagine how you would feel if she turned out to be your sister or girlfriend's best friend? What if you meet her later and she is stunning and popular, and doesn't want to know you because there was once this guy online, very like you, who might still recover & get in touch? If you had been mean, you could not recover from that!
People get into online communities the way they would join real ones if they could.

The most effective, and appropriate way is to politely tell her that you are no longer interested in having conversations with her anymore. You can e-mail her, or instant message her with your decision. She should respect the way you feel, and you shouldn't have any regrets, because you handled it in the right way. Good Luck!!!!

Really it is best to be honest and say exactly why you no longer want to communicate. If they are obsessive then tell them you will not be communicating anymore and leave it at that.

Ignoring her isn't really a nice thing to do, but it's effective. Why don't you just tell her?

Depend's, who started corresponding to who first? If" you" did, then i think you should be man enough to let her know how you feel rather then ignoring her and hurting her feeling's, and then again if "she" did, again, just let her know how feel, and if she doesn't comprehend, then i guess you could use your own tactic's, whatever they might be.

Delete the profile and don't accept a request to add you to her list. Seems very simple to me.
