Enlightenment left a link to an interesting article on the marches in one of his answers. http://www.alternet.org/story/34387/

If you read down to the bottom, it says "April 29" [later changed to May 1] "LA and New York rallies are being organized by the Progressive Labor Party which is calling for a communist revolution. More information can be found here:http://www.plp.org/

By all means, check that second link, it is fascinating.

Now why do you think people wanting a communist revolution would want to organize marches for illegal immigrants?

ma_isa - you mistake my meaning. I don't think the people in favor of legalizing illegal immigrants KNEW the marches were organized by these people. I think they were used by people callously indifferent to the backlash they would suffer as a result of the marches.

Oh, hayleylov, I love it! Daunting assignment indeed!

Mr. Boof, what is funny is that Che was adamantly opposed to illegal immigration as was Cesar Chavez, because it undermined the fair wage.

Sqwirlsgirl - I had heard this before, but I was just quoting Enlightenment's article, this time. The web pages above were both from that.

Sorry you were offended by hayleylov's answer but I though Fox hiring an ad agency to change Mexico's image in the US was very funny.

Enlightenment, I criticised no one. Don't be so defensive. I just thought your article about a group wanting communist overthrow of the government being behind the marches was interesting.

Oh, guess Enlightenment decided he didn't like his answer.

I have examined the marches, which were primarily organized by Hispanic Radio Personalities and some groups such as Amnesty International (a pro-revolution group). Also, the major boycott was organized for May Day, which was a day formally used by the Soviets to parade their military superiority. I honestly believe it was a mix of the two. I saw the Communist Flag just as much as the American Flag, and I saw more Che t-shirts than ever before. It was about both immigration and revolution.

That is what's flawed with our Unions in these days , they're pandering to the illegals , rather of status up for the American Workers . They haven't any spine . They had been damaged again within the eighty's after which crawled in mattress with the Corporations , have to be crowded , with Congress in there too.. They do not talk for so much participants any longer and are wasting participants rapid , so they have got became to the illegals and that is flawed . When the federal government builds the Super Highway from Mexico to Canada at the East coast , the Teamsters might be out of jobs and the illegals would possibly not aid then .

A little of both. The communists/socialists have been involved in La Raza rally's for months - look at the video at www.immigrationwatchdog.com and see who trying to stop a video from being taken - a commie. Also look at the hero's of many of these Latino's - Fidel Castro and Che Guevara - both hardcore commies. The commies are using these marches to create turmoil, and to get their propaganda out and about with these protesters. Take a look at the pictures of the protests and rally's - you'll see dozens of "Che" shirts.

I didn't know that! Learn something new every day!! Hi, Hayley!!
