I make this sauce all the time so I don't measure anything I just add to taste. Warm up some milk in a pot(do not boil), while that is warming make a rue(melted butter and flour) when your milk is warm add some salt and pepper and crushed garlic or garlic powder mix, then slowly add your rue(alittle at a time) to the warm milk whisking constantly, until thick. Taste if needed add some more salt and pepper and garlic.

how to make rue: melt butter in microwave then add flour until thick but pourable)

You mean an Alfredo sauce?

1/2 cup of butter (melted)
1 cup of cream
1 and 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese

Heat in sauce pan until smooth. Pour over pasta. Mmm!

2 sticks butter
1/2 pound grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
1 lb pasta
salt

1. Using an electric mixer, beat butter and Parmesan until creamy.

2. Cook the pasta and drain it, reserving 1/2 cup of the cooking water.

3. Return pasta to warm pot. Toss pasta with 1/2 teaspoon salt, cheese mixture, and 1/4 cup of the pasta water. Add more pasta water, as needed. Serve with additional cheese.

8 ounces dry fettuccini pasta

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
3 teaspoons minced onion
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups diced, cooked chicken breast meat

DIRECTIONS:
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook pasta in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente; drain, and set aside.

Transfer the blended mixture to a saucepan over medium heat. Mix in the chicken, and cook until heated through. Serve hot over pasta.
