The winner of the 138th running of the Belmont Stakes in New York was Jazil in a time of 2:27 4/5/....

Jazil won the Belmont Stakes. His rider was Fernando Jara (aged 18) and he was the youngest rider to win the Belmont since Affirmed's jockey Steve Cauthen. Affirmed was the last horse to win the Triple Crown and that was in 1978
