The point of religion is that there is no "cold, hard evidence". Religion is about faith. If there was "cold, hard evidence" then it would be called science.
The definition of religion is : Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe.
A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship.
The life or condition of a person in a religious order.
A set of beliefs, values, and practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader.
A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion.
If you're gonna try and be smart, then please understand the definitions of English words before publicly embarrassing yourself. Technically, you're illiterate, Marked by inferiority to an expected standard of familiarity with language and literature.
Violating prescribed standards of speech or writing. So, before criticizing people of faith, go to school.

I have HEARD cold, hard evidence that validated my religious beliefs.
When my mum was dying I had insomnia. I had such a hard time falling to sleep every single night.
I had to leave Mum's house in New Zealand to go back to my own family in Australia before the end of October. We had no idea how long Mum to live, but the longest I was able to be there for her was 3 months.
One night in September Mum was particularly weak and I had to help her get into her nightie. Mum suddenly realised how she was getting worse by the day and had a panic attack. We sat on her bed crying. She was so scared she would have a painful, horrific death. I couldn't reassure her, because I was scared of that too.
A friend had told me about how someone they knew had the same type of cancer, and died violently, spewing blood and screaming.
When I went to my room I prayed. I was crying so hard and was so upset. I prayed for God to take her tonight, not make her get worse and worse. Just take her in her sleep right now!!!
I heard a voice.
The voice seemed to be coming from above me. It wasn't in my head, it seemed to fill the whole room.
The voice was so kind and I was instantly calm.
I was told Mum was going when she was ready. Not when everyone else was ready, she's not ready yet, and don't worry, you'll be home on time.
I fell instantly to sleep, after months of insomnia.
Mum died 19th October. She just went to sleep and didn't wake up one week before I was due to fly home.
I don't worship any particular religion. I believe God is there if we need him, and that night that belief was validated.

What do you mean by "seen" and "evidence"?
I don't know where you live but if it is New York, for example, how do you know that Guantanamo exists? Have you "seen some cold, hard evidence" of this, meaning have you been there and seen it for yourself? No? Then how do you know it is truly there?
Simple, by eyewitness reports, by expert opinions, by the historical records, etc. Same for Christian religious beliefs!!
Incidentally, do you have a heart? You know, the fist-size organ that allegedly all people have in the left chest cavity? How do you know for sure that YOU have one just like other people have?

1. All the places and countries in the Bible have been found and documented.
2. Many of the people in the Bible so far have been recorded, not just by the Bible, but other writings as well.
3. Many of the prophesied happenings that were written in the Bible have happened as written, or are yet to happen.
4. I have experienced God's love, peace, and promises.

I absolutely have...I've been clean and sober from drugs and alcohol for 7 months now, after using for about 10-12 years (off and on), and the only way I could have done this is by His wonderful grace and mercy. He gives me the strength every day to continue to be sober. I enjoy living in my skin today, finally. And I give God all the glory. I feel that's hard enough evidence to validate my spiritual belief's....

well in the book of Isaiah chapter 40;22 describes a round earth then you have Job 26: 7 telling of the earth being hung in space. or the bible states how rain is created Job 36. the destructive working of a nuclear bomb 2 peter chapter 3.. the greatest part is when a person comes to know Jesus their life chances. the most incredible and most believable piece of evidence.

I believe in miracles from God -- I go to an Assembly of God church.
I was in a healing service one night and I had a miracle.
A week before the service I went to my mom with a wart on my thumb. It had been bothering me for sometime and I had no clue why. It was on the inside at the bottom joint. I feflt like my thumb had arthritis in it or something. I did not have full motion of it any longer. My mom looked at it and told me that the roots of the wart were probably wrapped around the joint and that I would need surgery to remove it. I could not afford surgery and I decided that I would have to wait until i got insurance with my job. Well I went to the healing service and when the preacher told us to believe in our healing and ask God then that is what I did standing at my own pew. THe entire place was praying for their own needs then we prayed for the need of someone near us. A week later I was unpacking boxes at work and something caught on the box from my thumb. I looked at it and all that was there was a little piece of dry skin. I moved my thumb and realized it no longer hurt and had full motion. I now have a small shiney place there as a reminder that God cares even for the minor hurts in our lives. THat night at the service I saw a man with a serious neck problem jerk off his brace and run around the building without a hand laid on him. I have experienced speaking in tongues and have been given visions from God. I have been slain in the Spirit and believe in the laying on of hands and standing in for others who are sick. I believe in the works of the Spirit and the fruit of the Spirit. Any questions let me know I would be gald to speak further.

I see it almost daily with cancer patients, they suffer tremendous pain and know that their time on earth is coming to a close. Their belief in God comforts them, I can't honestly describe it to you. But I know when my time comes, I'm going to try it. Even doctors will tell you the same thing. I would rather pray to God than a tree, or some other pagan belief, I think I would have a better chance, don't you think?

That's the beauty of religions -- if you can't ask the tough questions because if you do, it shows you have a lack of faith.
You just have to accept "working in mysterious ways".
Questions like why is it that people who are cured through the power of prayer are always the ones that have diseases that are known to go into spontaneous remission, and never an amputee.

Cold...hard...evidence...empty tomb made of stone...that does it.
Of course that people died for that truth usually doesn't make a difference in these debates. But many of the witnesses of that event died violent deaths rather than recant it. People will die for something that they think is true but is in fact a lie. People will not die as a group for something that they know is a lie just to make it true.
They died to validate their eyewitness accounts. If it had been false, they wouldn't have universally accepted death rather than hold fast to their testimony.
