So he's allergic always has been.. Is there a type of cat that doesn't cause allergic reactions? Is it really impossible to have a cat since he's allergic

Most likely your brother is allergic to the cats furr and dander. The only cat I know that he won't get a allergic reaction too is a hairless cat. But depending on where you live and the climate will depend if you should get one or not. Another suggestion is, instead of buying a expensive hairless cat, is your brother taking any allergy medications to make him not as allergic to cats? For other ways to combat allergies in a cat, you may want to ask your family doctor or your vet. He or she may help you out more. No it is not impossible to have a cat since your brother is allergic. Good luck to you and your brother and your pet!

My daughter has allergy's but she loves cats and deals with it by meds. She has three cats. Just make sure to have a air purifier and keep the cat out of the bedroom. Make sure to brush the cats hair often that will help.
