"You are very ugly" because: "Estás" (with the accent )means "you are" and "muy" means "very" and "fea/feo" means "ugly" "Fea" is "feminine" and "feo" is "masculine".
Estás is in the form of estar, so it means like at the moment.
"Eres" would usually be used if you are describing someone and it is in the form of ser. It tells how you are.
Like ¿"de dónde eres"? Where are you from? And ¿dónde estás? means Where are you? But it means like RIGHT NOW.
I should've included that the 1st time. I think this should help you realize better.

On the plus side, they said "Estás muy fea" and not "Eres muy fea". The first means that you look very ugly (right now), while the second means that you're ugly forever!
