I have been told that numerous times...and I still don't go. I just give them the silent treatment now, because they pissed me off bad.

Hello again foodme. You should read my last answer to your last question. Don't listen to the narrow-minded people around you. If you HAVE to talk to them, shut them up with something they shopuld already be practicing. "Tolerance". Jesus had patience and tolerance. Something these people near you don't seem to have. Tell them to leave you alone and hang with another crowd.

That's not true of course. Your religion can't save you only your faith in Jesus Christ will. God knows that we are all bastards and biatches so he sent his only son to save all of us. A sin is a sin no matter how small it is. Even saints did something wrong. Even if we committed a lot of sins we still have the chance to repent from it and try hard not to commit some more. Lastly some people are saying that because of the commandments. It's logical actually that you're more likely to go to hell coz ur not updated and reminded constantly of your christian life so you tend to forget your values when you don't go to church. It's up to you though. If your values are strong enough you may or may not go as long as you do good. So anytime you think you're loosing your faith, just go to church.

A lot of people don't understand that a church is not necessarily talking about a building with people in it. But in his word he said if two or three are gathered in my name meaning that you and a few people can be the church. The people makes up the church not the building. A tabernacle is a building, but God does want us to fellowship, but I don't remember reading anything in the bible where God said that he will hold that against you.

Let your heart lead you. God knows everything about you and he also know what is in your heart. All you have to do is let him in even if that mean that you have to go into your secret closet. We shouldn't judge one another and tell each other that we are going to hell. It's nobody's place to judge where you going. Only God decides.

Going to church has nothing to with going to hell. You go to church to build your faith up and to have fellowship with other like believers. To go to Hell you don't have to do anything because you are born a sinner. To get into God's heaven you only have to believe and have faith in what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross for you. He died for your sins, He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day so you can stand just before God. 1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

No where does it say in the Bible that you will go to hell for not going to church. The people telling you this are just wrong. The only reason for going to hell is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
The Bible does tell us why we should go to church, and that we shouldn't forsake the assembling of ourselves together.

If you're saved, Christian, or whatever it is you are, I don't think you will go to hell if you don't go to church. However, if you want to learn, it's a good place to learn. If you want to fellowship with other Christians, (or whatever your faith), it's a good place to be with other people that you enjoy being with. Also, God says you should do it. If you can't for some reason or just don't want to, then don't. It's your conviction.

That is hypocritical. The reason being it was okay for all of them to make their own interpretations of the bible and make all these different religions, and they believe their religion is right. To each there own. They all say how God forgives sins...hypocrites.

God wants us to have fellowship and worship together. I don't think you'll go to hell for not attending church though.

Same reason that 12-steppers believe that you will face "jails, institutions, or death" if you stop going to AA meetings. It's a fear tactic designed to induce guilt, compliance & brainwashing.

if no one goes to church, how will the church run! no god markets himself to gain faith like we do for elections.we follow god or someone because they lead by example thru their life. rules are made not by gods but by the religious heads for their survival.
