You should come to the realization that 2 is just PRACTICE for 3!!!

With a loving and nurturing mother and a father that is willing to provide the discipline.... it'll all be OK

Temper? Or just being defiant? Age old Q. Some spank, some use time out. You could try taking toys away for bad temper, but it didn't work for me. Time out worked to a point, then my daughter started ignoring them, so I popped her on the diaper and sent her to her room. She has no toys in there.

She is 2, they are all like that. Their favorite word is NO, they love to throw tantrums. Be firm, but loving. She will outgrow this phase.

If you think that she is really out of the norm for this age, then post more info, I am sure people have already seen it and will be willing to help.

Don't really know what you mean about self willed...she wants to get her own way?....I take care of my four grandbabies...They are are wanting their own way...each in their own way. You learn to love their wants...interact with them...she is showing her want of independence....do no allow the tantrums...but also do not over react..she wants attention. Give it to her in a positive way..Mine love books...constantly...but when I am watching Ellen or Oprah...I have to find something else for them to do, another outlet...Paper...Crayons help her to draw...Be proud of her Circles...Her squiggles...Her Dashes and Dots..Bring Music into her life....Dance with her. Flash cards....Stimulate her...so she won't be stimulating you! Don't get me wrong...I feel for you.
remember they DO grow up!

Don't spank her. Time out is effective. 3 minutes of that for her will seem like an hour to her. make her sit on a chair and can't participate for that time.
