Well..if you mean like human food when you say real food that isnt so good for him and dog food isnt either. You should put him on puppy food. Also a rapid change in diet will also cause him to have a upset tummy and may cause gas. But if it goes on much longer I would consult your vet. They would have the best answer for you. They also have doggie perfume you can try that!

o.silly.me. is right. Your dog will get used to the food you are feeding him and dog food is so much better for dogs than regular food. As well as corn, wheat, dairy, are not good to feed to dogs. Good Luck.

Since you just got the dog anyway, take it to the vet for shots and worming and tell the vet about the smell at the same time.

We had gotten a puppy from the pound and she had a bad smell that bathing would not take out. I took her to petsmart to have her groomed and she smelled wonderful.

I had the same problem and when I gave him a bath he smelled worse. I think they have some dental things the dog can chew on to get rid of their bad breath. Your dog licks itself and it probably puts its stinky breath on its fur which makes it smell. I had a pitbull and lab mixed and it was one stinky doggy. :(

It probably is just his body getting used to the food, my dog stinks if I buy anything that the first ingredient involves corn or any by product of corn.
