Is a stipend taxable?

I'm going to be starting a Fellowship in the State Senate -- I'm really excited about it. I will be receiving a stipend, and I was wondering if a stipend is taxable like other income. Thank you.

The general definition of "Stipend" is wages.. yes it is taxable.
