Noone under 12 or over 65 can resist candy. 12 year olds like it cause it's sweet, but the older ones like it because it looks like pills.

Tell her the truth. Tell her she needs assistance and that is the best place for it. Talk to the counsler and the nursing home and see what they suggest. They have programs that might can help her. The counsler will go over with you what the insurance company will cover and for how long. You need for her doctor to do some paper work also. Maybe if her doctor explains to her she needs to be there she will go. Where I am from the also have Assistance living this is where they are cared for but still have some freedoms.

I am a home support worker. I help to keep people in their own home as long as possible. You may be able to get government funding to have support for your mom. To go about doing this look in the yellow pages under "homemakers service" or "home health" or something like that. Choose a company and call them. They will send someone to assess your Mom and try to get the funding for you. We provide services anywheres from just house cleaning to paliative care and everything in between. Some people only need help with their showers and food preparation. Some only need to have someone there. Good luck and I hope your Mom will find the assistance she needs to stay in her own home and be happy.

you are ungrateful!!! take care of your mother. after all she may have a short time left to be here on this earth. you should honor the commandment # 5 which is to honor thy mother and father that thy days may be long on the upon the land which the lord thy god has given thee. you don't know where you would be now if she had'nt taken good care of you when you were a ( little guppy ). so you had better do the same for her. stop being so selfish.

Well this is a hard situation. i work with the elderly and know how hard this must be. Sometimes you have to resort to trickery but if she still has cognitive ablilities you might want to consider repite care or have home care come into your home while you get away for a few hours. Seem slike you need some You time.

I think you are just jerking everyone around but if you are really telling the truth your mother would be better off in the care of strangers than by a selfish fool like you.If your mother and father read your question they would be ashamed of you. What a loser,

Thats wrong, when my mom gets to the place where she cant care for herself I hope I am doing good enough to take care of her. What if when you were born your mom gave you up to the state and said lets go out for icecream and put you in the foster system and said youre not her problem anymore.

Yikes! You are in a terrible situation. I think we all get there sooner or later. Unless she is getting to the point of senality tricking her may not be the best idea. Have you thought of an assisted living facility? If she's physically able to get around it might be your best alternative.

you are some piece of work. you want to "trick" her huh? i'm glad she took such good care of you when you were just a "puppy" but it looks like you just grew up to be a dog. how could you treat your mother this way? man..i can't even deal with you.
apparenly i missread "guppy" as "puppy" but dog still fits.

you are an ungrateful sack of ****, why would you lie to someone that has taken care of you and loved you all these years, tell her the truth that you dont feel you can properly take care of her and therefore need to take further action for her safety and well being.
