I think you have to enjoy each stage of life as you meet it, hoping that the best years are yet to come.

Obviously it varies from person to person and individual view points change over time as someone looks back on their life from a different perspective than they had at an earlier stage.

The reason some people might think college was the "best 4 years" of their life probably comes from it being a time when they can enjoy the freedom of being an adult without the responsibilities that come with having to keep a paying job and supporting themselves and their family.

It really depends on the person. I personally think college is full of good and bad. This is where you learn who you are, what you want to become and how you deal with certain situations. Some people are grown up by High school, others need to go to college to grow up.

Either way, in the society we now live in, its necessary to get a college degree to be competitive in the job market.

It all depends on if you try to get the most out of it. Personally middle school was the "best 2 years of my life"

Any years can be the best years of your life as long as long as you keep trying. College is fun but hopefully you will have even more rewarding times ahead. I wouldn't want to think that it is all downhill from college.

High school sucks but college is what you make it. I love it, i've gone on trips to Paris and love hanging out. I think that it just depends on the person.

its just a saying, for me at least. but thats probably because i was an alcoholic and party girl in high school and i dont like to party anymore. but if you still like to party then i guess it would be 4 great years of partying, but it also depends on what school you go to.

I think it's just a saying. But some think it is and others don't. And I think it is because you can spend more time with your friends while being in school. And for those who hates to be around their parents because they are humiliating.

any period in your life is what you make it! and, you have to think about all the variables to your question such as: are you commuting and not experiencing the college life? are you older/younger and attending college? do you live on/off campus?
