Cursing is bad 90% of the time because there are other words that can reflect the emotion and meaning as the curse word one would use. However society has gotten lazy over the year and vocabularies have shrunk and now people just use four letter words. 10 % of the time it is okay because only that four letter word can really express how one feels, The problem is to know when it's appropriate and when it's not. This is hard due to the over usage of cuss words. So it might be best for one not to cuss at all.

Bad. It makes the person who is cursing sound uneducated and it just sounds awful.

I'm not trying to be biased or have a double standard here, I'm simply stating what I have observed: Women swearing is a lot worse than men swearing. I can't explain why, it just does. For example, I was sitting in a restaurant (which also had a lot of children) and these two women (in their mid 20's I'd say) were sitting at the table next to me, and I couldn't help but notice that every second word out of their mouth was the F word. To be perfectly honest, it sounded HORRIBLE. Not to be rude but they sounded like trailer trash.

So yes, it is bad. Don't curse, people will have no respect for you.

I do not think there is anything wrong with cursing. I allowed my children to curse and taught them to use the words in the proper context. As teens and young adults I almost never hear a single swear word out of either of them.

Cursing is never good. Period.

It only lowers a person in others eyes. Proves nothing, except that your word vocabulary is small and shows a lack of self respect for yourself and others. I never take a person seriously that has to cuss to get their point across.

Have you ever had a person put you in your place-or tell you off without uttering a cuss word? Now, you will remember that!

I like cursing but hate people who curse unnessicarily. So good when not offending people you don't want to offend. P.S. F*ck the bible (not literally)

It's doesn't give you a positive image, nor, is it lady like. No one likes hearing anyone, male or female, curse. It's in bad taste.
