An epidemic is a disease which is widespread, in a locality or region.

A pandemic is much broader, it affects entire countries, or the world.

pandemic is an epidemic thta is spread world wide..and an epidemic is just highly spread it can just be a country or anywhere but pandemic is the world


they are kinda the same thing though

Pandemic (pan-dem'-ik) (Greek. pandemia-the whole people). An infection spreading over a whole country or the world.
Epidemic (ep-i-dem'-ik) (Greek. epi, on; demos, peple). Simultaneously affecting many people in an area.
Endemic (en-dem'-ik) (Greek. endemos, dwelling in a place). Recurring in a locality.
