That's an interesting concept. I haven't thought about that. I do know that after reading the book and seeing the movie has made me more thoughtful about the life of Jesus. To think about it, what does it matter if he got married? He still died for us. Aren't we still redeemed?

Ah I was thinking similar. I read the book and learned many things about Christianity that i never knew. The church claims it is just fiction but if it is just fiction then why does everyone make such a big deal about it. Perhaps Dan Brown wants to get the truth out there? Why else would people hate a fictitious piece of literature so much?

I read the book.
It's a very interesting book and topic, I realized that if you can handle that situations between Jesus and the Devil you can actually find out another things between the life of Jesus.
And I believe that Jesus had a wife, kids etc. Because he was a man, and it's nothing bad in it... I mean every man in the world can have their wife, kids and be happy with a family.
I believe that sometimes Leonardo Da Vinci was a lier telling all these, or maybe he didn't write anything... it's a mysterious thing.

I think that Dan Brown and his wife (who was the primary researcher) like writing. And they like storytelling. And they know that some of the best stories come from history and are made up of the nuances between where history stops saying anything and people start guessing. So, they found a compelling story, and they told it. That's all. It's the rest of the world who is making it into something else.
There is a story that someone once went up to Mark Twain (Sam Clemmens) and told him their theory behind one of his stories. And he just looked at them and said, "Yes." Not because that was the real theory, but because people will bring all sorts of things to the story while reading it. And that's why reading is so important. We all can bring out different interpretations according to our own experiences.

His book lets people who are Christians doubt their faith and lets others doubt everything about Jesus. His book and movie are full of lies labeled as fact. The athiest love it because it changes history and warps the truth into a more libral thinking. So many athiest believe the book, regardless of the real facts in history, because it presents a false reality about Jesus that they are more comfortable with. At the end of the movie it says that the world is much better off without Christians and that crime will fall and wars will cease.
Dan Browns book is kind of like the following story...
The following story and all things included are "fact"
In 1952, world war 2 began when President Stalin of the British states invaded europe and began to crush the smaller countries. Winstin Churchill of the American soviet union joined forces with Stalin and set out to controll the earth. But then a young rightious Aldolf Hitler took a stand for what was right and retaliated and raised a army of holy wariors to fight against the evil anglo-american axis of evil. Aldolf founded the Jewish nation in 1963 and led his rightious forces to victory over the evil stalin and churchill and then spred democracy to America and Britain. World war 2 ended in 1968 and the rest of history played out. Over time people, thought that Adolf was evil and that Churchill and stalin were good, but the history books have covered up the truth all these years. The world would be in alot better shape if the Nazis controlled the world.
Doesn't that sound absolutly stupid, but if you showed it to an uneducated person, they just might believe it. But we know that this story is pure fiction labeled as fact, just like Dan Brown's book of lies. I hate his book because I know it isn't true and it puts a fake identity on Jesus. Dan Brown's Jesus is Not the real Jesus Christ. You can make up bull crap all you want but it won't make it true.
Lets say 2+2=4, we know this is true. But what if 5 was really popular, everyone wanted to believe that it equals 5. So they write a book on how 2+2 is not 4 but 5. They make up theories and lies to suit their imaginary world that they live in, so that the end result lines up with thier mindset and makes others start to doubt if 2+2 really is 4.Again this is what Dan Brown's book does.
Many people will say, " It's just a novel splinterjah, why are you so upset?"
My answer, " Because I stand for Truth, I don't want people to believe in lies because they are more "plausible" than the truth, and Dan Brown's book makes my Jesus look like a heathan worldly man, He is not. In Him there is No sin at all. He is God's Son. No matter how much you want to belive that He isn't doesn't make it true. Jesus is Lord and He is wheter or not you believe that He is. I can't help that people choose evil over God, blissfull ignorance over truth, or hell over heaven. That is their choice, I'm just trying to show them the Truth, thats all. Jesus is Truth.

I understand what you are trying to say. You are asking if Dan Brown wrote the book so people would learn more about Christianity so they would be able to defend it better. I think it is possible but highly unlikely.

i actually believe a lot of it. i know that it is probably true that jesus was married. it wouldn't have made sense for him not to be. ive been raised in a catholic school my entire life and many of the teachers there don't believe it and are strongly against it - except one person. one of my teachers has gotten several degrees in scripture and things like that so i think what he has to say regarding this type of thing is worth more than what the other teachers think. most of the other teachers are trying to appear to be the most holy in the world. its ridiculus. it shouldn't really matter if he was married or not - but to some it matters a great deal.

Huh?Dan Brown knew it was fiction. He did add in a lot of facts that people never bothered to learn anyway. If more people became more aware of their spirituality than good for them but I don't think that was the reasoning behind writing the book.

leave faith and religion bias aside, brown opened up so many logically satisfysing explanations to the mysteries of historical artifacts/marvels(leonardo,newton,and jesus of course) that i am now literally planning to visit all these places on a vacation. the novel had some or the other new revelation to worlds famous historical artifacts around every corner.if all of it is just his imagination, then im my opinion he is best the writer right now!
