Ever wonder why a cat comes to you when you say here kitty kitty???

I don't come when my can food provider says, "here kitty kitty" because it's not my name. I may respond to "midda' miss" as that is a nick name, or Neo, as that is my name.
One way to get to me come for sure is have dinner, then I know it's time for wetties (canned food) and I will scratch and scream and beg to get it.

Mainly because they like soft voices and aren't threatening in any way. Cats by nature are very perceptive creatures and they can sense if you like them or not. Plus cats are curious too. A cat may think you have a treat for them as well. There are numerous other reasons I'm sure, but these are the best examples I think of.

mine dont.... most of the time it is because all people use the term here kitty kitty kitty and they think it is their name.... like I said mine dont but it is because i never called him by that and I would never let anyone else call him by that.

My cats don't, they come when I call "dinner time!" I wish they'd come when I say here kitty, that would be nice. :-D

I'm pretty much with everyone else....if I want to see my cat I'll go out and yell "where's my cat?" and pretty soon one will show up! Also good is the canned food stuff........"anybody coming for LUNCH?"
