I spend about $500 per month on groceries (includes non-food items like laundry detergent, toilet paper, cat food, etc.) This is for a family of 3. I try to stock up on things when on sale, my pantry/freezer/fridge is never empty and some stuff we could do without but we like to have. When I try real hard I can go a week with just minimum stuff like milk and bread.
