i have a cat....?

my cat is male and about 1 year and 4 months old. im trying to get him a kitty im not sure if to get him a female or male. hes strickly inside cat so i want to find him an additional cat to play with. female or male??

I think you should get a female. But no matter what you need to put the new one in a cage or something and let them be for awhile. They will hiss at each other and that's normal. They are just talking. Your cat will be telling the new cat his rights and the new cats rights. Good luck.

doesnt matter ...Just a warning the cats wont get along in the beginning but males are naturally more affectionate than females so if I were you and had to choose I would get a boy

if the kitty you have now was already nutured when he was younger then I would say get a male and nuter him too.... however if you guy is not nutured then even if you nuture him now and introduce another nutured male cat he may still spray....so I would get a female and fix them both.... female or male which ever u think is best. it's ur cat and i think u should choose but if ur married or have a boyfriend or a friend whose a guy see which one he'd come to first.

Male they will have more in common than females in less in common. Unless you want more playmates. :-)
But make sure if you get a female if you don't want more little sweeties. Get her Spade. If you get a male. If you don't want him to spray make sure you get hi neutered.

Female, they will sometimes spray when you get another male. They can and spray whether they are fixed or not.
