it all depends on the woman herself. If she was ready to move on, and ready to leave the house, then probably not. if she was attached to the house not ready to let go of it, or her life, then she may have remained.

Hey, thanks for oppening up. I live in Africa and have experience spirits and know that this is true. there are thre things to consider
1. The house may not be haunted and you are just scared. so encorageyourself move in and be happy. You can find some friends to move in there with you for some time.
2. The house may be haunted, and so will it never be occupied forever? if you are a Christian you know that Satan has some Powers, But God Has all power over him, he overcame him more than 2000 years that you will not be haunted by spirits. So you can find a Christian Pastor/friend who Believes in casting Out Demons and they can join you in cleasining the house and it will be inhabitable.
3. You may be haunted yourself, the bible says that a curse does not affect us unless it has a reason. If you where a relative of this person and some how you did not treat them right and now you want to occupy thier house then this can haunt you for sure, and this is not just a spirit, it is a curse and can not be removed even by Pray! it is removed by repentance before God.
Hope you can find your answers mainly in Jesus Christ and let us continue to share if that is okay with you.
Faith

I think you will be fine. But by you already thinking or wondering if the house could be haunted could cause you to get things in your mind.
You'll be trying to go to the bathroom and after thinking about the house being haunted you'll be jumping all about...lol
Just because someone dies in a house doesn't mean it's haunted.
I have seen some strange things in my day. Never saw a ghost, but I live in a area where alot of freaky things have happened. I have lived in houses people have died in and I have never saw anything.
Just don't worry about it and try not to think about the lady passing away in the house.

maybe not. You'll find out when you move in, for sure. But I wouldn't expect it.
I have a spirit in my home. He can be violent at times....but for the most part, we have an understanding & share the same house.
He doesn't like my husband or my cat. He has tried to contact my child in the past but I have made it clear I don't want him to have anything to do with my child at this time.
I have been sharing my life with this spirit since I was 11 years old...& Im 29 now, so I have come to the realisation that he's not going anywhere...& if he did, I don't know what I'd do, because Im so used to him being around.
so, if you wind up with a spirit in your home, you will be able to make the choice that is right for you. You can keep it, or banish it.
But I'd wait & see what happens first.

I don't think you should let that scare you from the house. Have you gone inside and checked out the place? If she was a ghost, there would most likely be a strange eerie feeling. But Im sure that she has accepted death and moved on.
Also, you could do some research on the lady that lived there. See if she was nice when she was alive, how she died, etc, etc..

I suppose the house could be possessed by the old woman's spirit, but if she died peacefully and completely crossed-over, then I doubt the home would be haunted.
The fact that the house is rurally located and near ponds, has nothing to do with the old woman's death and the home's possible possession.
Good luck!

I believe in spirits. I have to ask you, have you seen or heard anything there? The probability that she's haunting this place is slim to none. True hauntings are extremely rare. But if you are worried. You can bless the house yourself. Just walk through it, asking God to cleanse any negativity there, and demanding that whatever is there leave immediately. Claim YOUR right to the home. In most cases all activity will cease.

A ghost can be anywhere. They do not have to stay anywhere. If your house has a ghost and mind you -- [if there is no evidence -- do not worry] -- then announce yourself -- make friends with the ghost -- explain to her that she is mistaken in thinking she is still alive and she needs to move on. Of course if she gets mad and her head turns into a flaming skull I would probably run.

It could be. If you feel or see anything just tell the woman, in a nice way, that she is dead now and to go into the white light of the Holy Spirit, better known as the Other Side and Home. Keep telling her until she gets it and leaves.

Before we moved into a house we went around to clean the yard and cut down everthing and mowed over everything all we left was two plants growing on the side a tree, the neighbour came over in the afternoon introduce himself and saw the two plants and told us the story of the man who was murdered in the house and the wife commiting suicide beside him when she found him their ashes had been laid in those two plants on the side of the tree. needless to say we didnt end up moving in there.
