It won't end. That is why I, as an atheist, just observe.....but I don't participate. It isn't worth my effort or my emotional being to do so. For me, it's draining to take part. Others like to take part, and that's cool for them.

You are correct---my Path is my personal Truth. :-) I don't try to say my truth is others' truth---that's condescending and offensive to others.

While I'm not sure if I agree we are all looking for the same thing, as there are many pathes to choose from in life. We do however need to practice tolerance and acceptance of our fellow man, what makes my way of thinking better than yours or hers better than mine. I was not put here to judge people or the way they live their lives as long as they dont interfer with my right to do the same. If I do not like the way someone acts or believes, I can choose not to associate with them. I do not feel the need to change others, I can voice my opinion on a subject and let someone else do the same without trying to diminsh their opinions or values. We can always agree to disagree but it shouldnt have to come to a verbal war or anything stronger.

To be or not to be, that is the question!... As it happens my father is dubbed thee an atheist and my mother not so long ago a staunch catholic, believe you me it created a weird upbringing one with lots of contradictions. The Atheist -vs- the Believer...
The war will never end because people are convinced that their neighbor(s) should be, feel, and think another should mirror themselves. People are opinionated and very passionate about their beliefs, and rightfully so. However, these opinionated firm believers of either party should lay down their swords and try to respect the differences in each belief. For all of you out there, here is a word to the wise... just because one does NOT label their "higher power" as God doesn't mean he/she is anti God. More than not it means they, for one reason or another, chose to be non-religious. So before one of faith condemns try to remember to be a little less self righteous and harsh! As far as I know you are not the judge, jury, and punisher. "God" has made us all different and our individualistic natures and ways of thinking should be grasped and respected!! Yes, both sides to this long war of "to be or not to be" should end. No more blood shed in the name of God (figuritively and realistically) should happen in the TODAY! So stick by your beliefs and go in peace.

Who said that?

Mat 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Mat 7:14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Jhn 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

We will know when we have passed what the whole truth is. But what we believe is not what determines our future in the afterlife, its how we lived our lives, how we treated others, how we treated ourselves, how we handled the bad times and the good times and how we apologized for our wrong doings is what determines it. But as far as the entire truth of what is to be when we die, I think I will have the virtue of patience and wait to find out and not push my beliefs on others.

Atheists will continue until all the Christians go to Heaven or rapture up to Heaven. Praise God when that day comes!

Maybe immortality will give people more time to think about it. The idea of death does strange things to some people & the sense of urgenc have some strident views.

There is no such war going on and if you believe it then you need God in your life .I'm a believer and we see atheists as ungodly, but we love them anyway and we will do all we can to convert them to God , but we don't hate anyone who disagrees with us instead we just give them what we know on God and hope that they'll go to God willingly and on His terms.

i think "

I'm sorry, but that made me laugh!

And atheists and believers are NOT looking for the same thing. Atheists have reason not to believe in what YOU are looking for...
