Big airplanes usually aren't as turbulent. There's bigger movie screens, some airlines even give you your own screen and let you choose from a list of tv shows & movies, so you pick what you want to watch for the whole flight, and if you don't like what you're watching, you can switch to something else.
If your flight isn't crowded, you may want to swap seats at some point and find a row that isn't occupied so you can stretch out to sleep. Some of the biggest planes (like 757s, 747s) have three seats on the left, five in the middle, and three on the right. So if you can take a row of five, you can stretch all the way out if your flight is gonna be like 12 hours. (Do this as quickly as possible though, because when you want to sleep, others may have already had this idea!!!!!!)
If it's a really long flight, they usually give you snacks and meals, and you can put a sticker on your headrest that tells them to wake you for meals, or not to disturb you. Some airlines even give you hot, moist "towels" in the morning to wash your face, hands, etc. They're really nice, and help you feel fresher.
You can always check with your airline beforehand, so you know what to expect (and what extras you might want to bring with you...like granola bars or a bottle of water in case they don't provide snacks!)

When you take off, there will be a feeling like riding a fast elevator. You will feel a couple of bumps when the wheels go up. Your ears may pop (hold your nose & with your mouth closed, try to blow out through your nose). Occasionally there may be some turbulence (like hitting a bump on the road). The same thing in reverse when landing. Almost everyone is nervous when flying, what w/security & getting the plane loaded, etc. Just think about it as a quick way to get from point A to point B. Enjoy your travels!

Great for the first half hour or so, after that becomes pretty boring. If you are going on a long international flight, pack some slippers to wear to stop your feet getting sore. Also take the chance to walk around the cabin when safe to do so, to try and prevent cramping or potentially harmful deep vein thrombosis.
Have a nice flight!
