I inherited a Winchester 67A rifle; it shoots fine, and while cleaning it I tried to remove the bolt. I'm stymied; can't get it off no matter what I try.

So what's the trick? :)

Thanks!

put safety on, hold trigger, pull bolt open, then straight out

make sure it's unloaded, take the safety off, raise the bolt handle and pull it back, then pull the trigger and pull the bolt assembly out of the back of the receiver.

also, clean it from the chamber end, not the crown.
