Actually, there's no proof that the earth itself is any older than approximately 6000 years, according to many scientists. Carbon dating only goes back 6000 years, and is only used to date up to 2000 years. So there may be cave drawings, but they aren't truly prehistoric.

Well, seeing as how God made everything, I'm sure he can walk through space without assistance, but that would certainly make him a star traveller.
There is also Biblical scripture that says that the Jews will be brought back to Israel 'even from the farthest star'. If there's evidence of star travel in south america, why not? (found in Isaiah I believe.)
I don't think the cave drawings are prehistoric, just not found in history until now. I mean, sheesh, how many of our graffiti artists find their way into the history books? That kind of stuff is generally only intriguing to other civilizations. The native one usually finds it ANNOYING.

I think you may be thinking of Chariots of the Gods: By Erich von Daniken. He was proved fraudulent in some of his work though, so for all accounts and purposes, debunking all his other stuff without the need for anyone else to do it for him!
There ARE cave paintings like the ones you are talking of but as to whether they are of 'Aliens' or 'Astronauts' is hotly debated.
First two links are of the cave paintings, second two relate to potential flying machines.
Again, ET in origin? Or maybe we just knew how to fly before the Wright Brothers said it was so. I personally believe the latter.

Your question and your description do not match. Prehistoric cave drawings of astronauts and aliens have nothing to do with God.

That is interesting, apparently in one of the pyramids in Egypt there is a drawing that look like a space ship and one that look like a helicopter. It might well be true that aliens or astronauts came down to earth and met with ancients, or, the other belief (and I like this one) is that ancients (Egyptians and aboriginal tribes) use to astral travel through meditation. They use to time travel and space travel with their subtle bodies. We can learn much from the ancients I think. Of course people still astral travel in our present time too, we also still get visions of the future through dreams and so on, it is not only the ancients that were able to do this.

Well yes I have heard of it. The drawings on cave walls of similarities to a space ship are fact. However they are left to interpretation of whether or not they are ships. May be the tail of a comet or a meteor or some other space anomaly.

The was a book called 'God was an Astronaut' or something very similar written by Erich von Daniken. He also wrote Chariots of the Gods, I think.
I read them but was never convinced by his arguments.
Banned in South Africa at the time.

Yes I have heard something similar, I've also heard that God may be from the sea. It's just a theory, it's as good a theory as the evolution one!

Nah, God is above the astronauts. He's watching over the space station so that nothing goes wrong.

Yes God, if that's what you want to call him, is an astronaut, one who wears a cowboy hat. He throws spears at stars and eats space biscuits (or jaffa cakes as they are known on earth).
