You can wear it wherever it fits, except the ring finger of your left hand. Those are the guidelines of our American culture. It may be different in others. A ring given by a loved one is often put upon the ring finger (the one next to the pinky) on the right hand. The final determination is your choice.

Pretty much the only finger that is off limits is your left hand ring finger - which is reserved for your wedding band. So any other finger that it fits on is fine.

any finger you want to - including your wedding finger. as long as its not his old wedding ring - where ever you feel most comfortable wearing it
