It would not offend me, but I would ask them, why would I want to throw away and waste my life. Haven't you ever heard of those nuns that did nothing but evil. Attila the Nun, Genghis Nun.
Much more can be done in the real world by those who want to help others than just by becoming a nun.

It depends on why they asked. If it's their sarcastic response to a girl whois not involved in certain activities, than I would be a litle offended.
I don't think there's anything wrong with being a nun, so if someone asks because of your devotion to your faith or something, I wouldn't find that offensive.

I usually wear straight black clothes all the time. I'm surprised nobody's asked me yet, although my mother accused me this morning of planning to becone a hermit...dang. Shouldn't have left the 'Idiot's guide to hermitry' on the coffeetable. But, no, I wouldn't be offended.
