If the nutrient cycles stop functioning, there will be a really bad shortage of nitrogen,water,oxygen and everything else.The plants will not get phosphorus if the phosphorus cycle stops.this may lead to death of vegetation on the earth.As a result,human beings and animals die.The same thing happens in case the Nitrogen cycle stops.Plants need nitrogen to prepare proteins.So,again the plants may die.Without water,nothing can survive.

thus,the stoppage of the nutrient cycles will lead to a sequencial catastrophe.
