Why were not the people demonstrations to the Unite Nations for Aid and Protection? Seriously-should not the demonstrations be toward them instead of toward the American people. Or did your Leaders here not bring that to your attention? Or don't you care for your own country?
It is a question we all want to know.

Could someone add if they know the answer-even with corruption in the UN wouldn't Media coverage force them to help? I don't know all the facts or issues here----but it does seem their bitting the hand that feeds them.

They could have taken their complaints to the UN, But then the UN has no authority to meddle in our laws. This is about criminal behavior, within our borders. If the ILLEGAL immigrants who are here were used as slave labor, tortured etc, then maybe the UN would have reason to become involved. As it is, the ILLEGALS are just merely breaking our laws. We are not commiting crimes against humanity here. The American people are compassionate, and understanding. That is why we allow for political asylum, and escape from persecution to peoples from all over the world. There is no justification to demonstrate to the UN, they could do nothing. Actually, I believe the UN is so corrupt and ineffective that they should be disbanded and all UN members should be expelled from the U.S., but, that is a different subject altogether.
We have an immediate and urgent need to secure our borders, expell those who should not be here, and regulate those wishing to come here. It is our country. We belong to God, not the world.
The ILLEGAL Mexicans who are here should leave, and then come back on our terms.

Very good question. They were obviously very misguided in who they aimed their demands and complaints to - the citizens of the USA! They probably would not have as much negative feelings from the USA citizens, had they directed their protests to the United Nations. Instead, the US citizens feel as if the Mexicans are biting the hands that feeds them and showing no gratitude or thanks, whatsoever, just demanding even more! Certainly not a thing to do to those who have been supporting you financially!

protests were about policy changes regarding immigration in this country that affects all people.... immigration is not just a Mexican problem.... 40% of all illegals coming to the U.S. are Mexican.... so, stop making it a Mexican issue when it is not just Mexicans!!!!
this is a complicated issue that needs to address both the supply side and the demand side of immigration..... including the employer who ILLEGALLY hire them.... and we "the people" who benefit from their cheap labor... by consuming goods at lower prices....
