We have her since Dec. 2005 and she is a sweetheart, but lately she bites alot. We play with her constanly and make sure she isn't bored- still i'm wondering if it could be stress.

When a cat gets overstimulated, it will bite. You have to learn to be sensitive to your cat's mood. Let the cat show you when she wants to play or when she wants to sleep or groom herself. Cats normally take a lot of catnaps throughout the day. Sometimes, especially in the evening, they will hit a period where they want to run around like crazy. When your cat wants to play, she may take a swipe at you. When she wants affection, she may come up and rub you, or just jump on your lap and settle down. Usually cats in loving moods will let you pet them for a while, but when they've had enough, they may nip at you. If you come to know your cat's moods, you will know when to stop so you don't get bitten.

She is probably sore or hurt, cats can get urinary tract infections easily, try to make sure is drinking water and using the litter box, I would suggest taking her in for an examination, if she is infected it could make her really sick

your cat doesn't know when playtime is over. When you go to pet her she thinks "Ah Ha! I'm gong to get you!" It's best not to rough-house with your cat when playing, that way your cat will learn that it is never okay to bite.

First ask your vet this question. Or go to the pet store and get some catnip.

She doesn't like the way you're petting her. Obviously, she wants you to stop and you're not getting the picture.
