Yes, 24 is too old for you to date. There is an 8 year difference. No, offense but you have a lot of growing up to do. Sixteen is too young for a 24 yr old to date. If you feel you are grown up, think of it this way. Would you date an 8 year old even if you have a lot in common? No, I don't think so. Personally, I think this 24 yr old may have some pedophile tendencies. How many other 16 yr old girls has he dated? How long were they together? Did they spend actual time together or just have sex? If you didn't already feel this was wrong you wouldn't have asked the question. If you don't feel comfortable introducing him to your parents/family because of his age or anything else. Your brain is trying to tell you something---LISTEN.

YES! 24 is too old... He will expect way more from you than you should be willing to give. Having a lot in common does not make a relationship and while an 8 year difference is not too much, it is too much when one of them is 16.

Not only too old, but illegal. And it works both ways - a 24-year man is too old to date a 16-year-old girl and a 24-year-old woman is too old to date a 16-year-old boy.

You are both in different places in your life, it would make it very hard. Besides the fact its illegal. You may have alot in common as friends, but as couple you will find some major dividing differences like maturity.

im 19 & my last boyfriend was 30. but at this point in your life, yes. its illegal for him.. be friends right now. nothing more. when you are 18 things are different!
