I know there are laws in the us pertaining to age of consent when it comes to sexual engagement. I understand why too because i would love to behead a pedifile here and there. But what makes a pedifile? When i was 16 and 17, there were some 14 through 16 year olds i found attractive, and that wouldn't be looked upon as weird, but at 18 i still thought some girls from that age group was attractive. i'll go out on a limb and admit now at almost 21, there are some damn good looking 16 year olds. but i'm no fool. i won't touch jail bait, and i am dating legal women. but the previous statement is enough to probably raise eyebrows. what age does it make the attraction actually creepy, and why?

There's a difference between being attracted to some 16 year olds and pedophilia. Pedophilia is usually attraction to children in prepubescence or early adolescence. A 16 year old girl is usually developed enough that attraction to her isn't really an aberration. It's part of our male wiring to be attracted to fertile females, and 16 year old females are about as fertile as they come. That said, the social taboo against older men dating them is there for a good reason, they usually don't have the experience to avoid being taken advantage of and can end up being easily manipulated by older men into doing things they don't necessaily want to do. It's not so much the age, but the disparity between the young attractor and the older attractee. The greater the disparity, the creepier it generally is.

Young girls, even much less than 16, can fantasize a lot about boys and men. If an older man senses the attraction a young girl has to him, it's excessively innocent to love her. Though she may not be mature enough to fully understand civilization, she probably understands love better than most 25 year old women. Political adults in a civilized world need to control our opinions in such matters, but I prefer truth and innocence. The spiritual energy is much greater in children, if you embraced a 13 year old girl that loves you dearly and purely, all night, you would wake up a new man as the transfer of spiritual energy would be so great, you'd learn a lot about your soul overnight. It's perfectly innocent when love IS the primary desire, as that's just what you will get from a 13 year old girl full of heart. However, unless her lust was uncontainable, no matter what age the girl or woman, you should want that spiritual transfer of energy to become fully charged before sex.

Dude..this is an awesome question. I tell you what, I have encountered the same problem.. Now I am no lawyer or anything but just following the everyday news .. a 16 year old dating a 14 year old or a 19 year old dating a 16 year old or even a 21 year old dating a 16 year old has never surfaced as a paedophile. I think the term is dedicated to cases where a really mature adult ( say 21 +) is sexually molesting some one under 14. Least this is what I have seen.
But be wise and don't take any chance.

the age is what society dictates, and in the united states among christians anything under 18 if you are over is pretty much taboo, thus the laws. In other cultures, and even other times in the states nothing would be thought strange about 15 or 16, its just that 18 is considered adult age here and now. the attraction of an older person to a tight young body is obvious, creepy is societys morals.

It is human nature to, shall we say admire, a younger girl. Heck it is hard to tell what age they are now a days.
The line is crossed when you act on the erge. Being too open and talking about it too loudly could also cause you problems.
If you feel that your erges are not controlable, seek help before you do something wrong. Then others might want to behead you.
If you think they look too young they probably are.

A pedophile is an ADULT who has sexual desires for a child. A child... not necessarily a teen-ager. Pedophiles tend to desire children who are pre-pubescent.
I don't really think that you could classify yourself as a pedophile. Perhaps you are simply immature and are attracted to girls younger than yourself. Thankfully, you've got enough sense not to act upon that attraction. Stick with girls closer to your own age.

ANYONE WHO APPROCHES YOU IF YOU ARE UNDER 16 FOR GIRLS AND IF HE IS OLDER NO MATTER WHAT HE SAYS HE IS USING YOU AND IT IS ACTUALLY AGAINST THE LAW AND YES THEY ARE PEDIFILES REPORT ANYTHING LIKE THAT ASAP
