A lot of people think that Islam is a new religion, so, they make a distinction between Judaism, Christianity and what is known in Arabic as "Tasabbu'" meaning the religion of Abraham, well, it is not as simple as that, since Islam is not a new religion, although some of the laws are new or changed, but again, it is the same religion since the first man, our father, Adam, the prophet of Allah, it was always Islam, yet may had differant names like Judaism and Christianity since the laws of each of these two religions and today's Islam are not the same to an extend, and we as Muslims do make a distinction between Islam, Judaism and Christianity not because of anything but because they were presented by differant prophets and held/hold some differant laws and commandments, which were changed by God, due to the changes that followed the soceities where these religions spread and are spreading.. these three are the same, but they held and still holding differant laws and commanements.. the message is one, worship God and reject all false deities, and obey the commandments, and Jesus was a Muslim, born as a submitter to Allah, and he called the sons of Israel to follow the commandments as he made lawful for them some of which was unlawful to them.. I hope this was a good answer for your question.

i understood your question.

Jesus pbuh was a Jew. Jew in that century who follows the teachings of Moses, according to Muslim theology was a Muslim. Just as Moses was a Muslim, and his true followers would be.

The Gospel of John, chapter 5 verse 30 says,
John 5:30 "I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgement is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me."

A muslim is a person who submits his will to almighty God. Jesus says in this verse, ".......I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father ......"

I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father. If you translate into Arabic it means Islam. A person who follows Islam is called as a Muslim. So according to the bible Jesus Pbuh was a Muslim.

We should consider the fact not just the word. The fact is that Jesus preached to believe in one God. Jesus worshipped one True God. Jesus prayed to God( he even fell on his face and prostrated, bible - Matthew 26:39). Jesus preached ten commandments which are found in the teachings of Islam also. Jesus prohibited pork, wine, blood, dead meat or any food on which any name besides God has been taken. Jesus prohibited adultery, fornication. Jesus practiced circumcision (bible - Luke 2:21), Jesus greeted by saying "peace be on you" (Luke 24:36) same as muslims greet i.e. Assalamoalikum means peace be on you, and last but not least, he prohibits Shirk i.e. Associating partners with God almighty (bible Mark 12:29). So all these teachings are part of Islam. So Jesus was a muslim i.e. submitter to God.

MUSLIMS MEANS SUBMITTER TO GOD

Allah literally translates into the word "god" and so, in my oppinion, Allah is God, and so you could say Jews believe in Allah, they just don't believe in the Qu'ran.

I get in stitches when people claim that Jesus was Muslim. How could he be before the Koran was given

or that Moses was Christian before Jesus came

or that Noah was Jewish before the Torah was given.

they are all silly

1 John 2:22 proves that allah can not be God, so Jesus never had anything to do with him.
