Earth Age: The bible implies a young earth by saying the earth was created within 6 days and populated on the sixth. It then lists each generation. We total up the estimated lifespan of these people and reach an earth about 7,000 years old or so.

As for the bible saying science is bad, I don't know if there's passages on this or not. I've always noticed its the Christian community that seems to bash science, not the bible.

The Bible never mention how old the earth is, it does recorded history of God interacts with man.
It is difficult to calculate earth's age because:

A) Earth was without form before it is created, so there must be matter floating around, and who knows how old those matters are? (Genesis 1:2)

B) No one knows how long Adam and Eve stay in the Garden of Eden before they were cast out. Could be days, or years, who know?

I do not know of any passage that say science is evil.

What we know as science or knowledge is just a fragment of what God's eternal truth is. As you may see, the findings of science keeps growing and expanding, the technology man has develope help give man a better lives, better medicine.
To me, science is a blessing from God, because God has all the true knowledge. To me, true science is God's science.

God's science is truth, it does not change, while man's science
is keep changing and developing, because it is still learning new truths.

Just a last word, God knows how to contact us through the Holy Ghost, and we still using cell phones. :-) a long way from using
smoke signals or mirrors.

It never says how old people are, but if you trace the genealogy of the Bible back, it comes out to be something like 6,000-7,000 years ago that Adam lived. And I don't know if it's the Bible that says science is evil, it would probably be the people in charge that are or did say that. You see, religions begin because people can get great power and wealth by them. However, when people think for themselves, religion begins to whither and die. Like plants cut off from water, the men in charge then lose their power and wealth, and so to prevent this they ban free thought (such as science).

The Catholic Church does not reject evolution, it believes it is real, however it knows there is a designer or intelligence behind it (God). The Church realizes there is an evolution process behind the earth, and animals. It is very skeptical that there was Intra-species evolution like apes to human but it does let Catholics decide for themselves. The Church believes Genesis was SYMBOLIC, but "Adam" and "Eve" were real in that we had an original two parents. The Catholic Church has many scientists, There is no contradiction between science and faith. Don't let evangelical creationists define Christianity since they take Genesis literal.

The book of Genesis says that God created the heavens and the earth in seven days. There are some fundamentalists who believe that every word of the Bible is absolute truth direct from God, so anyone who says anything that does not agree with the Bible is blaspheming, and must be influenced by the Devil.

Sooooo.... Any scientific theory that does not fully agree with the Bible is the work of Satan.

There are 3 earth ages (II Pet.3:5-7), same earth but different ages. We are now in the 2nd earth age. Between Gen.1:1 and Gen.1:2 is a vast amount of time, if time existed. Between these 2 verses is Satan’s rebellion (Rev.12:3-4) and “his tail” drew 1/3 of God’s children. Between these 2 verses also belongs all fossils and remains, such as Dinosaurs.

In Gen.1:2 we have the of the end of the 1st earth age and the beginning of the 2nd. For clarity Gen.1:2 needs to be divided (see below).

(A) Gen.1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

(B) Gen.1:2 And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

In (A) Gen.1:2 the first occurrence of the word “was” has been corrupted and is “became”. It reads “And the earth became without form, and void”. The end of the 1st earth age.

In (B) Gen.1:2 we have the beginning of 2nd earth age, the one we live in now. Man did not exist in flesh till this earth age.

Between (A & B) Gen.1:2 is also a vast amount of time, if time existed. Between (A & B) Gen.1:2 is; a global flood (not Noah’s which was a local flood), the destruction of Atlantis, the breakup of Gondwana Land, and the Ice Age.

Time means nothing to our Father. He is very patient and loves His children. Instead of destroying Satan and 1/3 of His children, He destroyed that first earth age. Now in this 2nd earth age we all are born innocent in the flesh. Father came in the flesh Himself, Jesus Christ, and paid the price for all. Father defeated Satin, that is death, legally. So now His children have a decision, to choose life or to choose death. It’s your decision. Choose life!!

I take the stance of the Philosopher Maimonides

When science and the Bible contradict the Bible must be reexamined in a way that fits accepted scientific fact.
