Your family also hates the idea of having children in general, but they did it anyway. Really though, if you want to convince them that you are ready, jump up and down on your parent's car screaming how much you like the kid, and tear out fistfuls of your own hair. Convinced by your maturity and possessed by an urge to see you with all of your hair intact, your parents will probably say yes.

Depends on your age. Maybe your family isnt receptive to your dating because your to young. The only way you can prove to your parents your ready is by proving your responsible. Get a job, obey curfew, do your chores, and after a month or to approach them about dating.

your family hates the idea of you dating because they are nauseated at thought of you and anyone else contributing to the further degradation of the human gene pool. you should strongly consider being a nun or computer programmer.

Please award Best Answer points to me right now because I deserve them, as you can now plainly see and must agree. I do not want to wait because I am not at all patient with you.

~~ask if you can have him over for supper so your family can get to know him, and be sure to be responsible and if not prepare the meal and do the clean up yourself at least help with both tasks. showing you are responsible is always a big plus, also if you have a church youth group invite him to youth group functions so that you can have time together, while others are around to get to know him and see that you are acting responsible with him around.~~

You need to do what the firt persone said - let them meet the young fellow.

If you are reluctant to introduce this young man to your family, it could be because you know that they won't like him and then you have to ask yourself why they wouldn't like him

since you did not put your age, i would guess that your family might be right.

it's one thing for the guy to come hang out with you and your family or you to be over at his house when his parents are there but if you aren't old enough to drive a car you shouldn't be going out alone with him.

They probably don't like it because you are young. grow up a bit and when you are old enough to know what love is try then

well be straight with them. you can either see him with them knowing or you just wont tell them next time. this will make them angry but they'll see your right.
